An English Family’s Malibu Boat Adventure

We left the harbor under cloudless skies. We stopped by the ‘sea lion’ bouy on the way out and the sea lions were all sleeping after a morning of fishing.   We continued up the coast to Malibu and encountered a large pod of dolphin that played with the boat for about 20 minutes.     When we arrived at the Malibu Pier, everyone was excited to try some paddleboarding.           When I asked if they want to be towed behind the boat, they jumped at the chance.     They all had a blast.   Come join us!...

Super Fun Family Boat Adventure Up To Malibu

It was a beautiful, sunny spring day as we heading up to Malibu for some Sea Lion/Dolphin watching as well as some padlleboarding and fishing.   Along the way, we stopped by the ‘Sea Lion’ bouy and checked out the adorable baby sea lions sleeping on the bouy.   We came across a large pod of dolphin and they played with us for about 20 minutes.     We arrived at the Malibu Pier and the family was eager to try some fishing. And the fishing was good!       They wanted to try paddleboarding, so out came the boards. After a quick lesson, they all were out exploring the Malibu coastline.         While they were paddleboarding, a couple of dolphin passed by within a couple of feet of Julie! It was a once in a lifetime dolphin encounter.   When I told them I could tow them behind the boat on the boards, they jumped at the chance.     They had an incredible experience and enjoyed a relaxing coastal cruise back to the harbor.   Come join us!  ...

Incredible Family Malibu Boat Adventure

Posted by Dave Ogle on Apr 16, 2015 in Malibu Coastal Adventures | 0 comments We had an incredible family boat adventure up to Malibu   Just outside of the harbor are a couple of large bouys where the sea lions hang out.   On the way up to Malibu we came across a large pod of very friendly dolphin.       We arrived at the Malibu Pier and after a quick lesson, the family was out on paddleboards.       On the way home I threw out a tow rope and pulled them all behind the boat.       It was a memorable trip....

An Amazing Encounter with Whales, Dolphin, and Sea Lions!

They were not disappointed! The ocean was perfectly smooth for our ride out to the Palos Verdes Penninsula.   First stop, the bouy where the sea lions hang out.   Further along we came across a huge pod of very friendly dolphin. They played with the boat for almost 30 minutes!       A short time later we arrived to the Palos Verdes Penninsula. After a quick paddleboard lesson, they were off to explore the incredible coastline and kelp forests.       On the way back to the harbor all eyes were scanning the horizon for the Gray whales. A Couples Diving & Paddleboarding Boat Adventure

Posted by Dave Ogle on Mar 26, 2015 in Malibu Coastal Adventures | 0 comments It was another perfect day as we left the harbor headed for Paradise Cove, Malibu. Not 10 minutes out of the harbor we came across a small pod of dolphin.   We arrived at Paradise Cove, Malibu and the first thing we wanted to do was to snorkel and scuba dive in the calm clear waters. While Angelique went snorkeling, Peter tried the Snooba rig which gave him a taste of scuba diving.   Capt Dave dove down and shot a fish and grabbed a couple of lobster for lunch. Boiled lobster with butter, garlic, and lemon, and Sheepshead sautéed  in onion, jalepeno and garlic.   After lunch it was time for some paddleboarding.     They wanted a little more adventure so out came the tow rope.     While Angelique was being towed behind the boat, a pod of dolphin came by and actually followed along side of her.   On the way home we found a huge pod of dolphin and we stopped and played with them for about 20 minutes.     It was a memorable trip to say the...
