They seemed to be expecting us.   On the way out to the PV peninsula we found a large pod of dolphin that swam with the boat and put on a great show.     When we arrived, we pulled into a secluded little cove for some paddleboarding lessons.           They all had a really fun...

A wonderful family visiting from England took a Malibu boat adventure on a lovely spring day. We left the harbor under cloudless skies. We stopped by the ‘sea lion’ bouy on the way out and the sea lions were all sleeping after a morning of fishing.   We continued up the coast to Malibu and encountered a large pod of dolphin that played with the boat for about 20 minutes.     When we arrived at the Malibu Pier, everyone was excited to try some paddleboarding.           When I asked if they want to be towed behind the boat, they jumped at the chance.     They all had a blast.   Come join us!...

We left the harbor with a wonderful mom and her 2 kids. It was a beautiful, sunny spring day as we heading up to Malibu for some Sea Lion/Dolphin watching as well as some padlleboarding and fishing.   Along the way, we stopped by the ‘Sea Lion’ bouy and checked out the adorable baby sea lions sleeping on the bouy.   We came across a large pod of dolphin and they played with us for about 20 minutes.     We arrived at the Malibu Pier and the family was eager to try some fishing. And the fishing was good!       They wanted to try paddleboarding, so out came the boards. After a quick lesson, they all were out exploring the Malibu coastline.         While they were paddleboarding, a couple of dolphin passed by within a couple of feet of Julie! It was a once in a lifetime dolphin encounter.   When I told them I could tow them behind the boat on the boards, they jumped at the chance.     They had an incredible experience and enjoyed a relaxing coastal cruise back to the harbor.   Come join us!  ...

Day 1: Surf Lesson For The Boys The 2 boys had a surf lesson at Zuma Beach on their first day with Malibu Coastal Adventures. Conditions were perfect and they both picked it up very quick!         Day 2: Boat Adventure The next day we left the harbor early and were treated to a perfectly calm ocean. We arrived at the ‘Sea Lion’ bouy shortly after leaving the harbor and the sea lions were relaxing after a morning of feeding on the local bait fish. Next stop…Catalina!   On the way to Catalina we spotted a pod of dolphin. They swam along and played with us for about 20 minutes!     At Catalina Island, the water was clear, warm, and perfect for diving!   After scuba diving and spear fishing around a secluded cove on the west end of Catalina, out came the fishing poles. Many fish were speared and caught, and their dinner was secured!       On the way home, the boys wanted a little more adventure so out came the tow rope…     We even made a pass by the ‘Sea Lion’ bouy on the way back to the harbor to say hi.     They had an awesome experience with memories (and photos) to last a...

A Fun Family Goes On a Boat Adventure With Their Dog

Posted by on Apr 4, 2015 in Malibu Coastal Adventures | 0 comments

It was a little overcast as we left the harbor, but everyone was in good spirits and the sun was predicted for the afternoon.   We arrived at the ‘Seal Lion” bouy a short time later and they were greeted by a dozen of the cutest little sea lions all lounging around. The dog took great interest in these very ‘dog like’ creatures.   On the way up to Malibu for some paddleboarding, we came across a huge pod of dolphin. They put on quite a show and, needless to say, the dog was fascinated by these unusual ocean creatures.         We arrived at the Malibu Pier and wasted no time getting them out on paddleboards, and after a quick lesson they were off.     While dad fished, the dog couldnt take seeing everyone out on the paddleboards and had to get in on the act.       Everyone had a wonderful experience..especially the family...

A Couples Diving & Paddleboarding Boat Adventure

It was another perfect day as we left the harbor headed for Paradise Cove, Malibu. Not 10 minutes out of the harbor we came across a small pod of dolphin.   We arrived at Paradise Cove, Malibu and the first thing we wanted to do was to snorkel and scuba dive in the calm clear waters. While Angelique went snorkeling, Peter tried the Snooba rig which gave him a taste of scuba diving.   Capt Dave dove down and shot a fish and grabbed a couple of lobster for lunch. Boiled lobster with butter, garlic, and lemon, and Sheepshead sautéed  in onion, jalepeno and garlic.   After lunch it was time for some paddleboarding.     They wanted a little more adventure so out came the tow rope.     While Angelique was being towed behind the boat, a pod of dolphin came by and actually followed along side of her.   On the way home we found a huge pod of dolphin and we stopped and played with them for about 20 minutes.     It was a memorable trip to say the...
